The title references my anxiety each time I have to head out of my building to shop for essentials.

Erika Ranee received her MFA/painting from UC/Berkeley. She is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Fellowship in Painting, an AIM Fellowship from the Bronx Museum and was granted residence at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She was an AIRspace resident at Abrons Arts Center/2009 and was awarded a studio grant from The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation/2011. Her work has been exhibited widely in New York: at the Bronx Museum, in The Last Brucennial, BravinLee Programs, David & Schweitzer Contemporary and at the Southampton Arts Center. In the summer of 2018 her work was featured in concurrent groups shows at Geoffrey Young Gallery in Great Barrington, MA; at Lesley Heller Gallery, at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery and Freight+Volume—as well as two concurrent solo exhibitions at Ground Floor Gallery and BRIC/Project Room. In early 2019 her work was featured in a solo show at Lesley Heller Gallery, NYC. Later in 2019 her work was on view in a group show at Wild Palms in Dusseldorf, Germany and 2019-2020 in a solo show at Freight+Volume. Ranee is currently in a show with artist Meg Lipke at Gold/scopophilia Gallery in Montclair, NJ. She works in New York.
